A majority of the grants given through the Omaha Community Foundation are initiated by individual donor suggestions from charitable giving accounts they establish. The remainder of the grants are available for nonprofits to seek through a competitive grant application process. The Omaha Community Foundation has competitive grants available through four programs: the Fund for Omaha, Neighborhood Innovation Awards, Youth in Philanthropy, and the Endowment Funds of Southwest Iowa.
Each program has a different process and timetable, though all limit their grants to organizations, not individuals.
The Foundation also administers 17 Iowa scholarship funds. If you or someone you know is looking for scholarship funds, please visit this page to see if you qualify. |
